Reptile World Zoo is the best place in the region to get a look at snakes, tortoises and reptiles of all kinds. See a massive python, over 15 feet long and hundreds of pounds heavy, as well as smaller slithering species, crocodiles and even a bearded dragon. This little privately-owned animal collection is a big hit with young children and the attached quick restaurant even offers great snacks and lunches for hungry visitors. Reptile World sits east of Joplin and about a mile south of I-44.
